Design

Consultancy is an important part of website design, so we take time to understand you and your business, to determine exactly what your website is required to do. As your website is an extension of your business premises it has to have the right look and feel. It has to create the right impression. And it has to be useful to the people who will be visiting it.

The design process includes deciding on page layout, imaging, and colour schemes. It involves the design of navigation menus, page elements, and graphics.

Once the design criteria are known, we develop the site and place a draft copy on a test website location, so you can see how it is going, and have input during the development stage. Tell us as soon as possible if there are changes and we will make them.

Hosting and Domain Name

While we don't have the servers ourselves, we can look after the hosting of your website. We partner with a number of Internet Service Providers, so we can get the best deal for you. Your hosting fee is paid on a yearly basis direct to the hosting provider.

We can also register domain names for you.

Maintenance

Much of your website may stay the same for a long period of time. However, some of it may change often. We can look after the maintenance of the site, changing it as often as required - daily, weekly, seasonally. You might like to have a monthly newsletter added to the site; up-and-coming events; new products as they are launched; a joke-of-the-week. You may even like to change the style every so often, just to keep it fresh. You might have seen a special effect on another website, and want similar on yours!

Support

If required, we can train you or your staff to do site updates. We can also advise on software you will need to update your site.

Packages

Web design pricing depends on what features you want, how much time it will take us to do it, and the complexity of the design. Nothing is set in concrete - letís discuss options, and come up with something that you will be proud of.

Package 1‚ Startup Web Site for $499.00 including gst.

We have a start up offer currently running on our web site:

1.    A 4 page web site - Design and Setup: from NZ$499.00 including gst. This includes:

a)   Consultation to establish the needs, objectives and design for your website.

b)   Design and develop a 4 page website, to include:

- A total of 8 images (including your logo)
- One Contact fill in form
- Visitor counter with reporting

c)   If required, setup of domain name registration and host space.

(Note: These costs are in addition to the web design fee of $499.00. See below for costings.)

Any additional inclusions will be costed separately.

2.   Domain name: from NZ$40 plus gst per year

3.   Web space: various options here starting from $1 per week plus gst.

Cost:   A Startup web site will cost $499 inclusing gst. 
(this price does not include hosting or domain name)

PLEASE NOTE :  THE ABOVE PRICING IS FOR A STANDARD STARTUP WEB SITE.
IT DOES NOT INCLUDE ONLINE SALES OR E-COMMERCE SITES.
THESE SITES ARE MORE EXPENSIVE TO IMPLEMENT AND ARE NOT COVERED IN THE STARTUP COST OF $499.00 incl.gst.

Package 2 ‚ Standard Web Site

This covers the majority of new sites and site upgrades:

  • Consultation on your site We will discuss all aspects of your site with you, to make sure you are getting a website youíll be happy with. You might have corporate colours, standards or rules, you might have a preferred look, there might be particular pages you want, buttons, banners etc.
  • Photography of products, people and premises. If you donít have images in a format we can use, we will come and take the necessary people and product pictures.
  • Registration of your domain name. If you donít have a domain name, we will set one up for you ‚ which can be .com, .co.nz, or whatever is most appropriate and available.
  • Site Hosting. If you don't have hosting arranged, we will discuss your best options and set it up for you.
  • Design and create your website. Once weíve all agreed on what you want, we will create your site.
  • Let's see what you think of it so far.  We will show you the site before it goes live, by putting it on our test server so that you can view your site from any computer. You can even ask contacts overseas to take a look at the draft site to get their input. This is a great way to make sure it works on all computer platforms and browsers!
  • Publish on the web. Once it has been signed off for publishing, we install it on your own hosting server for the world to see.
  • Register with the major search engines. Now we want to sit back and wait for business to flood in! So we have to register the site with the search engines locally and globally. We have about a dozen we aim at, you might have your own favourite. We may well have other trade sites to put you on, and youíll receive a link from our site.

Cost:  Our hourly rate is $50 plus gst. As an guestimate, expect to pay $600-$3,000, depending on number of pages, photos, any fancy features you want etc.
