Photoshop 1
Prerequisite: Participants should be confident computer
users.
In this introductory course participants will explore: the Photoshop
workspace; work with the editing tools; create and manipulate layers;
text layers; formatting text; work with resizing and combining images;
preparing an image for output to print or web.
Adobe
Photoshop 2
Prerequisite: Participants should have attended Part 1 or have a good
knowledge of Photoshop. A continuation of Photoshop 1; during this course
participants will explore: refining selection techniques using all the
selection tools; saving and loading selections; quick masking; the extract
tool; work with feathering and anti-aliasing; create and export clipping
paths.

Photoshop Elements : The Organiser
Prerequisite: Participants should be confident computer
users.
In this course participants will explore: the Organiser workspace; work
with the Photo Browser and Date View mode, discuss acquiring images using
various hardware, organising images with tags and keywords, collections
and catalogues. Create a number of special documents such as slide shows
and greetings cards.

Prerequisite: Participants should be confident computer users.
In
this course participants will explore: the Elements editing
workspace; working with the editing tools; QuickFix and manual
fixing, create and manipulate layers; text layers; formatting
text; work with resizing images and combining images; preparing
an image for output to print or web, work with feathering and
anti-aliasing, work with the healing brush and clone tools.

COURSE
Prerequisite: Participants should be confident computer users.
In this 1 day course participants will explore: The
best way to scan photos for use in digital scrapbooking; learn how to use Adobe
Photoshop Elements to colour correct and enhance your photos; work
with the editing tools; create and manipulate layers; text layers; formatting
text; work with resizing and combining images; create
wonderful scrapbook pages using textured backgrounds, clipart and drop shadows;
learn how
to create PDF files from your scrapbook pages to email to family and friends. Duration: 6
hrs.

Prerequisite: Participants should be confident computer
users.
In this introductory course participants will explore:
document Setup; master pages; working with text; text
boxes; frames; placing text in
a text box; working with text flow; text frame controls; typographical
controls using the Character Palette; applying paragraph formatting;
entering text along a path; imported graphics; making graphic
frames; modifying placed graphics; basic text wrap.

InDesign 2
Prerequisite: Participants should have attended Part 1 or have a good
knowledge of InDesign. A continuation of InDesign 1; during this course
participants will explore: working with the Pen tool and Bezier curves;
the transform tools; work with colour gradients; applying transparency
and feathering effects; create style sheets for easy formatting. Create
a Library of frequently used graphics.

In this introductory course participants will explore: setting up the
Illustrator document; program navigation; work with the view modes; work
with the basic drawing tools; editing shapes and paths; selecting techniques;
the type tool; text on a path; working with text boxes; linking text

knowledge of Illustrator. A continuation of Illustrator 1; during this
course participants will explore: using the Pen tool to create vector
paths; using the transformation tools; working with colours; using gradient

masking images; compound paths.

In this introductory course participants will explore: document setup;
the PageMaker workspace; master pages and page numbering; margins; columns
and guides; correcting mistakes; navigating the workspace; adding/removing
pages; using the drawing tools; manipulating objects; the cropping tool;
inserting text and graphics; formatting text and graphics.
QuarkXPress
1
Prerequisite: Participants should be confident computer
users.
In this introductory course participants will explore: document setup;
master pages and the document layout palette; page numbering; inserting
text and graphics; format these using the Measurement Palette and Modify
dialog box; paragraph controls; text formats.
QuarkXPress
2
Prerequisite: Participants should have attended Part 1 or have a good
knowledge of QuarkXPress. A continuation of QuarkXPress 1; during this
course participants will explore: typographical and paragraph formatting
capabilities for leading; tracking or kerning; scaling and baseline shift;
formatting paragraphs using in-line rules; indents or tabs; drop caps;
H&J options; working with style sheets; text wrapping; reshape picture
boxes; work with the colour controls.
Adobe Dreamweaver 1
Prerequisites: Participants should be confident computer users.
Dreamweaver is a professional web site development program and is the
leader among visual web editors for creating accurate source HTML. This
introductory course covers: an overview of web technology; site planning
and setup; page creation; inserting text; images; tables and hyperlinks.

Dreamweaver 2
Prerequisite: Participants should have attended Part 1 or have a good
knowledge of Dreamweaver. A continuation of Dreamweaver 1; during this
course participants will explore: advanced table layouts for page design;
templates; roll over graphics; the Assets panel; inserting Flash objects;
uploading the web site.

Prerequisite: Participants should be confident computer users.
In this introductory course participants will explore: the Fireworks
interface; using the selection and drawing tools; colour; stroke and
fill controls; work with bitmap and vector objects to create images for
web site use.

Prerequisite: Participants should have attended Part 1 or have a good
knowledge of Fireworks. A continuation of Fireworks 1; during this course
participants will explore: the use of animation in web design. Participants
will create a number of animated web graphics in .gif format.

In this introductory course participants will explore: the Flash interface;
explore flash terminology; the drawing tools; strokes; fills and properties;
work with layers; the timeline and symbols to create a simple animated
web graphic.

knowledge of Flash. A continuation of Flash 1; during this course participants
will explore: the use of flash animation using different techniques to
create animated web graphics and navigation buttons; including sounds
and hyperlinks.

In this introductory course participants will explore: setting up the
drawing document; using the basic drawing tools; editing; moving; duplicating
and cloning objects; working with alignment and grouping controls; working
with text and graphics; text on a path.

Prerequisite: Participants should have attended Part 1 or have a good
knowledge of FreeHand. A continuation of Freehand 1; during this course
participants will explore: advanced colour attributes; text effects;
layers; working with the Pen tool; drawing and manipulating paths; the
transformation tools; working with colour; creating and using styles.

MovieMaker
Prerequisite: Participants should be confident computer users.
MovieMaker comes free with Windows XP. With it; you can capture video
from a digital camera; then edit and enhance the video to create a movie.
Or use your still images to create a slide show or a combination of still
and video images. This course covers: the MovieMaker workspace; importing
still images and video clips; storyboard and timeline editing; transitions
and effects; adding music; saving and delivering movies to email; web
and CD.

Word : Mail Merge
Prerequisite: Participants should be confident computer
users.
Mail merge refers to generating many letters by combining one file containing
a list of names, addresses, and other information with a second file
containing the text of the letter. This short course covers creating
mail merge documents: letters and labels. Editing the base information
and using database information from a number of sources.
Microsoft Excel

Prerequisite: Participants should be confident computer
users.
We start with basic formulae to compute simple calculations (relative);
we work through the use of Function Word formulae including SUM, IF,
COUNT, PMT, etc. Absolute referencing; Date calculations, and more.

In this introductory course participants will explore: document setup;
the Publisher workspace; master pages and page numbering; margins; columns
